Thousands of Ring users flagged suspicious login activity on May 28, 2025, sparking fears of a security breach. Screenshots circulated on social media showed unrecognized devices accessing accounts, intensifying concerns about Amazon's home security network.

Amazon attributed the issue to a backend bug that misdisplayed login dates and device names. "We have no reason to believe this is unauthorized access," Ring stated, clarifying the devices were previously authorized. Skepticism persists among users, compounded by Ring's recent partnership with Axon to restore law enforcement access.
